Beauty Faves: October 2018

1. Good hoops:

The big pair is from Oak + Fort (I love their jewelry) and the small pair if a gift my lovely sister brought me back from Nicaragua. Hoops may seem intimidating to wear before you do, but once you do you just gotta own the J.Lo look.

2. Fun Jewelry:

The past few seasons have really placed an emphasis on dainty jewellery. I’ve been wearing some more elaborate pieces lately and these are a few of my favourites. The two gold ones are from Forever 21 and I don’t expect them to last more than a season or two. The evil eye is from a boutique on Eglinton. The evil eye is a symbol of protection in many religions and it kind of makes me feel like I’m on a Mediterranean vacation any time I put it on.

3. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion:

After having clear skin throughout my teenage years, I battled with adult acne when I was 21. It cleared up after a year, but every now and then I’ll get a pimple or two. As soon as I see a pimple forming, I try to remember to apply this drying lotion. You put it on your pimple before bed (remember not to mix the bottle, but just stick a q-tip in an out) and usually by the next morning it has dried out.

4. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Lavender:

This is a great lip mask for hydrating your lips and smells great too. You can put it on before bed and wake up with a full pout ready to kiss your lover in the morning.

5. Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Kiss:

This is another fabulous lip butter. A very random thing I like about this one is that most lip balms are small so you have to apply it to one lip at a time but the surface area of this one is big enough to accommodate both lips. I know, sign me up to join Sol de Janeiro’s marketing team ASAP!!

6. Egyptian Magic:

I’ve been hearing things about this skin cream for years. I randomly stumbled upon it last week in an ‘As Seen on TV’ store and decided to purchase. It’s SUPER hydrating and it feels very natural. It also kind of makes you feel like Cleopatra when you’re applying a skin cream that has a picture of a pyramid on it. The ingredients in it are: olive oil, bee pollen, beeswax, honey, propolis, and royal jelly.
